Yes. It’s recommended to install the two types of blinds together. This will allow you to have views, without compromising your privacy, during the day whilst providing comfort and security in the night. Read more below on dual roller blinds.

A day/night roller blind, or dual roller blind, is when there are two roller blinds fitted within the one window.

A screen roller blind or similar other light filtering blind can be used during the day, allowing privacy without blocking the light. In the night a blockout roller blind can be used to make the room dark – especially handy during daylight saving! Dual roller blinds require specialised brackets that are streamlined so they fit neatly against the window frame.

Like other roller blinds, dual roller blinds can also be motorised.

Light filtering and sunscreen fabrics are popular choices for blinds as they allow light in, whilst still giving you privacy.

A roller blind made from a sunscreen fabric allows you to see outside of the window while letting light in. In the night, if you have a light on and it is dark outside, you will be able to see inside through the blind.

Light filtering fabrics on the other hand won’t allow you to see out of the window, but let light in. This means you will have privacy in the night too as you cannot see through them. There are some light filtering fabrics that are sheerer than others, so it all depends on what best suits your window.
